摘要：In this talk, we will introduce the generalization of classical Engel Theorem in Lie algebra theory to functional analysis. It is posed by W. Wojtynski that if a closed Lie algebra consists of quasinilpotent operators, then will the associative algebra generated by this Lie algebra also consist of quasinilpotent operators? We will talk about not only the results from Shulman and Turovskii for compact quasinilpotent operators, but also some new developments for scattered operators, which means that the operators with at most countable spectra.
